Artist Spotlight: Las Salinas

This weeks artist spotlight features a particularly well established yet still up and coming trance trio that go by the name of Las Salinas. The trio consists of  three talented producers: Israel Bicher, Shaulli Harrari, and Liran Cohen- each a native Israeli. Individually, these prodigies had been producing music for many years, but had decided to collaborate only two years ago in 2010. In Israel, they are residents of several successful night clubs and have also DJed at several famous trance events, one of which being HaOman 17. Since then, they have received support from huge artists such as Above and Beyond, Paul van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, and Michael Woods. In this post I will be including two of their most well known and recent tracks, “El Clasico” and “Stone Pony”. Personally, I believe their sound to be a perfect blend of hard hitting bass-filled beats that simultaneously maintain a true classic trancey sound- something that keeps their music refreshingly true to it’s element. “El Clasico”, which was released on Lange Recordings, was played on TATW #438 and consists of a lighter, more soothing trancey feel. In contrast, “Stone Pony”, which was released on Vandit Records and played on TATW #436, is a hard-hitting gem decorated with elegant and melodic trancey sounds. If you’re a true trance head, (and even if you’re not!) you should definitely have a listen to these tracks. Enjoy!
