One that seemed to have gone through without much notice was from Thursday night at the famous Beta Nightclub in Colorado with the always great Shogun at the helm. Albin Myers - The Beast

Albin Myers, the swede with biggest mohican haircut around is back with another insane (no slang here) release off Tiesto's Musical Freedom label. Albin announced himself on the scene with 'Lönneberga' alongside German duo Dabruck & Klein, followed by his dubstep inspired remix of 'Alive' by Adrian Lux & The Good Natured. He achieved widespread fame on remix duties for Avicii's 'Fade Into Darkness' and has not slowed down since then, adding more and more energy into each new production as can easily be heard in the collab remix, alongside Norman Doray, of 'Don't Give Up' and his most recent 'Hells Bells' (Check out this mashup - must have: 'Less Go To Hell'). On 'The Beast', Albin Myers uses his signature wobble sound in perfect proportion with a new baseline and build-up into and almost Chemical Brothers break. With furious energy and the distinctive AM gritty sound, this one must be in your iTunes.

Off the back of the highly successful 'Here We Go' off Axwell's Axtone Records, Russian's Hard Rock Sofa are back with a big room banger in the form of 'Starlight' off Calvin Harris' Fly Eye record label. There debut record on Fly Eye is a melodic masterpiece with infectious synth work and a awesome drum progression. Already seeing support from Clavin Harris, Nicky Romero, R3hab, Thomas Gold, Tiesto and Bob Sinclar, be sure to get your hands on this one.

Wolfgang Gartner New E.P.

It has been a very busy few days in terms of releases and we've got you guys covered. Starting off with a stalwart in the scene at the moment:
Wolfgang Gartner, a name that EDM lovers world-wide know and follow closely, is back with a new E.P title 'Casual Encounters Of The 3rd Kind'. A 2 track E.P that shows a different side to the American, who's recent releases 'Redline' and 'Flexx' have seen major success. The first track on the E.P 'Girl on Boy' is the familiar grinding electro while 'Girl on Girl' has more of an old-school house sound with strong elements of electro worked-in to perfection. Preview: Breaking Up (Bartosz Brenes & Tony Romera Remix)

Already proving to be a year of uprising international talent Costa Rica’s Bartosz Brenes and rising French artist Tony Romera take on the Dirty Dutch head honcho Chuckie’s vocal summer outing alongside Promise Land ‘Breaking Up’. Utilising Amanda Wilson’s distinct top line with a string of equally emotive keys, the multinational duo lead with killer riffage and grinding Electro hallmarks throughout this high-profile remix. While there may be no shortage of Electro House on offer for the summer season, the duos take on ‘Breaking Up’ is indicative of the quality such fresh faced artists can bring to global Dance music.

Preview: Deadmau5 – ”There Might Be Coffee"

While Deadmau5 may have pushed a number of buttons with his opulent live displays and sharp industry opinions, his studio ingenuity remains a topic rarely disputed. Case in hand, a track conjured during his latest live broadcast studio session unveils yet another strong indicator that being a leader amid the button pushing generation need not equate to mediocre music.
Layered with vintage synth work and pacing melodic chords, this somewhat nostalgic extension of the Electro stylings Zimmerman has become synonymous with is sure to add a feather or two to his well-plumed industry cap for 2012. Suspected to be the follow-up to ‘The Veld’ and seeing the light of day ahead of his next single ‘Professional Griefers’, Deadmau5 remains a force capable of pushing all the right buttons for the summer clubbing season.

Release: Hardwell & Showtek – How We Do

Be it his strong stateside presence or the affinity of festivals he now frequents, the young and talented Hardwell can safely call 2012 his most audacious to date. In the trail of his unsuspecting single ‘Three Triangles'  for Toolroom Records, Robbert Van De Corput joins brothers of the beat Showtek to show the world how their nation do persuasive peak timers.
Premiering the official video during his takeover of MTV Clubland, Corput’s union with the award winning ex-hard dance duo unites his own proficient synth work with the chugging low-end qualities of Showtek’s widespread studio legacy. By far one of the more potent stadium proof Dance tracks to hit the summer season thus far, this trio of Dutch talents prove once again that three is a magic number where blistering floor fillers are concerned.

Tomorrowland 2012 Sets

Yes the festival is happening right now and yes we have some of the sets for you already! All you need to know is that every single one of the following sets are amazingly done, these guys really brought their A-game to the festival. Check them out here:

Day 1 - Friday 27 July 2012
Avicii & Alesso are my picks while The Bloody Beetroots easily played the hardest set of the day and Carl Cox the funkiest. And Fatboy Slim was up to his usual goodness cramming in everything you could want to hear in an hour!

00. Tomorrowland Intro

Global Gathering (ASOT Sets)

The last weekend of July means one thing in Stratford-upon-Avon and thats the Global Gathering festival. Launched in 2001 by Birmingham nightclub Godskitchen, the even is now in it's 12th year and attracts more than 50 000 people including around 15 000 campers to the 2 day festival. Even though this years festival weekend clashes with Tomorrowland in Belgium AND the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London, the event is expected to be bigger still than previous years. You might think that the opening ceremony would not appeal to the kind of people that would attend an event like this but the festival organisers have spoken of a nationwide shortage of portable toilets as well as catering vans creating a bigger problem than the (lack of) number of attendees! Global Gatherings 2012 headline acts include South London rapper Tinie Tempah, and Drum and Bass duo Chase & Status however it is Armin van Buuren's 'A State Of Trance' stage that is being recorded and we have a few of the sets available for download.

Trance!

Being a huge fan of trance I decided to collect some great new tracks going around podcasts and live sets.

Up first is a track from a producer out of Belarus who goes by NoMosk, the track is called Morning Heat and is a beautiful progressive trance track:

Antillas' career so far would be more than enough for most but he continues to produce chart smashing productions and remixes. With plenty of Beatport number 1's and support from the industry leaders as well as releases on the biggest labels, it is no surprise to hear another bomb from the Italian maestro. He is currently working on his debut solo album with studio mate Dankann, due out later this year on Armada Music. Big thing still to come is an understatement, grab this one now:

Sam Wallace - Millennial (Original Mix)

19 year old producer and DJ from the United States, motivated and dedicated to progressing in the art and talent of music creation.

Joe Garston - Flubber

Joe Garston hails from Liverpool in the UK. He produces Electro House / Dubstep / Electronica / House. All of his tracks are sick and definitely worth a listen to. His new track is called "Flubber" and its a must have if you like your electro house. Hope you Enjoy.

DrumStep!!!

Drum and bass is a type of electronic music which emerged in the mid 1990s. The genre is characterized by fast breakbeats (typically between 160–180 bpms occasional variation is noted in older compositions), with heavy bass and sub-bass lines. Drum and bass began as an offshoot of the United Kingdom rave scene of the very early 1990s. Over the first decade of its existence, the incorporation of elements from various musical genres led to many permutations in its overall style.

Skrillex - Bangarang (M4sonic & Toxyk Remix)

Gangsta Fun - California 2012 (Phrenik Remix)

Octo Pi - The Fire Truck (Drumstep Vip)

Fam Lay - Da Beeper (Crowd Control Remix).

Bob Marly - Mr. Brown (Dubba Jonny Remix)

Run July - Starring Over (Aviators Vip Remix)

Pendulum - Tarantula (Tom Budin Remix).

Terravita - Teach Me How To Dougie (Remix).

Terravita - metROIDS

Porter Robinson - Language (Ben Shmidt Bootleg RMX)

Avicii - Last Dance (Original Mix)

Centra

I was first introduced to Centra last year while on holiday, a really great drumstep remix of a track called Need You by xKore. From what I can find on the net, Mancunian Alex Spencer is a Drum n Bass and Dubstep producer and thats about it! However, the only thing you need to know is that if he continues to produce at the level he's at then you're in good hands. Having recently passed 2000 likes on his official Facebook page, he decided to give away a new free track called 'Barriers:

which you can get > here <

Some other tracks i recommend from him:

Shadow Puppets (Centra Remix) - Nova

Whaaat

Skyline

Metropolis

Peace Treaty - In Time Ft Anabel Englund

From dimmak.com:
"Peace Treaty may seem like an inappropriate name for a musical trio that produces devastatingly heavy beats that destroy dance floors, but be that as it may, that's what these three young lads from California have christened themselves."

Having been signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, the 3 Americans were destined for big things and judging by what they've achieved since releasing their first E.P. at the beginning of last year, they have not failed to live up to their potential. Due to release a full length album later this year, the boys from Cali are set to continue their rise to the top. And if this new electro tune with the beautiful vocals of Anabel Englund strapped over is anything to go by then I'm sure their eagerly awaited album will take them to even new heights. Definitely not to be missed!

Thriller From Manila

35-year old Laidback Luke from the Philippines returns to his roots and gets on the remix duties of US pop sensation Karmin. Keeping to the sound that we've come to expect and love from the Filipino-turned-Dutch master, Luke tones his industriously large sound down to form the backbeat of Karmin's 'Hello' while still keeping the pop flavour of the original intact. Take a listen to this:

This Is Love (Afrojack Remix) - Will.I.Am Ft Eva Simons

Taking a top 40 chart smasher and turning it into a club banger has seemingly become easy for Nick van de Wall. He takes the pop song and adds his special blend of 'erbs n spices' to create a track that is sure to be heard on most dancefloors around the world. Having already worked with Eva Simons on 'Take Over Control' which projected his fellow Dutchman to the forefront of the EDM scene, Afrojack knew just how to blend Ms Simons' voice in with the new beat. With Afrojack set to hit SA shores in September, it's exciting to see him having such a fine 2012. Check this one out:

Netsky

Boris Daenen, better known as Netsky (pronounced: Net-sky), is a Belgian drum and base producer. The name Netsky is based on the computer virus of the same name

Netsky produces music of the liquid funk style – drum and bass music with many instrumental layers and frequent vocals. A large musical influence to him came from High Contrast's 'Gold Digger' remix.
In late 2009, Netsky signed a recording contract with Hospital Records, the same label as other well known liquid artists such as High Contrast and London Electricity.
