Trance Roundup

With the buzz of Armin announcing the first 6 cities of the A State Of Trance 600 'The Expedition' tour, I decided to put together a trance post. But first, the ASOT 600 cities and dates are as follows: Mexico City 16/02/2013, Sao Paulo 1/03/2013, Beirut 9/03/2013, Kuala Lumpur 15/03/2013, New York 30/03/2013 and lastly Den Bosch 6/04/2013. There are more legs of the tour still to be announced that will not be broadcast live but should not be considered any less of an event.

Breda, a small town in the Netherlands, has become known for the insanely high quality of DJ/producers that it brings into this world. Being named the EDM capital of the world is justified with the knowledge that the likes of Tiesto, Hardwell, Funkerman, Fedde le Grand, W&W, Dannic, R3hab and Deniz Koyu have all got roots in the town. And true to form, Breda has now unleashed Kill The Buzz to the world of EDM. Signed to Hardwell's Revealed Records, the 24 year old first release is hopefully a sing of things to come. 'Party Hard' was featured in Hardwell's Tomorrowland set, which by the way has almost 3 million views!! Grab this one and take advice from the young Dutchman - Party Hard, you'll find it hard not to.

After previewing this on the blog a couple of months back, we knew we were in for a treat when this finally dropped. Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash have both had a highly successful 2012, with the Australian further cementing his name into the upper echelons of EDM and Ingrosso seeing his huge tracks Calling and Don't You Worry Child, produced alongside Alesso and as part of the Swedish House Mafia respectively, achieve the extraordinary. Reload is a feel good track that starts off with a subtle build up, followed by a massive and catchy drop. It's a showcase of the talents of the 2 musical heavyweights, Reload can be played any time and any place. Check it out:

New John Dahlback

When it comes to John Dahlback, where do we start? After the explosion of EDM, its become a regular occurrence to hear new music from a Swedish producer but  if there's one Swede we can't fault, it has to be John Dahlback who seems to live in his studio. After releases such as Life and Zeus, 2012 has been a huge year already and the man shows no signs of slowing down. The new offering 'Panic' will do just that to a dancefloor, it's a bass-laden track with an exceptionally dirty drop that will have people going nuts. What will he produce next? Who knows, but the way we're kept guessing on which direction he'll go is all part of the mastery. Banger alert:

Shhhh! (Sander van Doorn Edit)

As one of the producers that got me hooked on EDM, Sander van Doorn has always been a favourite of mine and It's not hard to understand why if you listen to any of his many tracks, ranging all the way back for almost a decade. His edit of Inpetto's 'Shhhh!' gives the track just what it needs - featuring a melodic build and some filthy rolling basslines, Shhhh! should be played loud and often.Grab it now:

Phat Brahms

When it comes to producer dream teams it doesn't get much bigger than this. Steve Aoki + Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike + Angger Dimas = one monster tune and they most definitely do not fail to impress. The outcome is suitably titled 'Phat Brahms', this because the song samples Johannes Brahms “Hungarian Dance Number 5″ in the hook which then gives way to what can only be described as 'phat'. Check this out ASAP, this track is a must have and will be in everyones playlists for months to come

Tiesto & Allure – Pair Of Dice (Original Mix) [RELEASE]

“Pair of Dice” is a new collaboration between EDM superstar, Tiesto and a new artist on his label (Musical Freedom) named Allure. The track is completely different than the upbeat, hard hitting electro we have become accustom to from Tiesto this past year. Rather it brings back the nostalgia of his old school progressive/trance like beats we were used to before he ventured into the world of electro. Either way, this feel good track will get any crowd bumping and you can never expect any less from Tiesto. Be sure to grab this track off of BeatPort . ENJOY!!

MONSTA – Holdin’ On (Skrillex & Nero Remix) [RELEASE]

Skrillex and Nero combined their drum and bass  and dubstep skills to throw a little flavor on this rock song and turned it from an abomination into a banger. Skrill has been on an extremely productive track as of recently, creating his project with Boys Noize, “Dog Blood” and now this somewhat new remix with Dub legend, Nero, theres no telling what’s next on his agenda. This fast paced track is gonna melt your face away so just be prepared….

A growing 'underground' EDM music event in Johannesburg South Africa is truly taking the city by storm. A short drive out of the city you find yourself in a truly magical place. Psy-Trance, Minimal, Electro, Dubstep, Drum n' Bass and loads more !
