Jakob Liedholm

You might think that the guy in the picture looks quite young and you'd be right; you're looking at 16 year old Swedish phenom Jakob Liedholm! After announcing himself to the world earlier this year he has not slowed down in the least and these 2 new tracks are a testament to the kids talent. Both tracks released in the last 2 days and showcase the versatility of the young Swede - first his remix of Michael Woods' 'Drop Zone' which is given a melodic progressive build up into an electro bassline build up and finished off with a huge drop that will get you going nuts. Secondly is his remix of the recently released track by Archie & Polina 'Here And Now', the remix is a (relatively) much darker, slower and melodic-focused techno/progressive house track and did I mention it's 10 minutes long? Best of all they're both available as free downloads so show the youngster some love and download these 2 great tracks:

While scouring through his extremely awesome CV on his Soundcloud I stumbled upon a mashup he did of Avicii's 'Fade Into Darkness' and the instruMENTAL version of Swedish House Mafia's new track 'Don't You Worry Child'. It's the first time I've heard a higher quality version of the track since first seeing the live preview of it being dropped by SHM at their Milton Keynes Bowl show not too long ago. Also available as a free download, be sure to grab this with both hands!:

Also on there is a preview of young Jakob's newest offering 'Swede Love', the preview is taken from Pete Tong's Essential Selection which features only the best of upcoming music. So without further ado, here's the preview for you to enjoy:

We expect huge things in the future of this 16 year old Swede (it never gets old saying that) and I'm sure you do too. Keep an eye out for him because it wont be long before you see his name alongside the biggest names in the industry. And dare we say he's the new Alesso? Agree or not, I'm really not sure how Sweden keeps churning out these music superstars but as long as the good music keeps coming we won't complain!
